Am I overthinking this?

Hi I went on a date around 4 weeks ago with a guy from bumble. Met for a drink and it was nice, chatted for a few hours hugged at the end, he said he felt tired towards the end of the date so we ended the date and he had an hour drive back home. Since then we’ve been texting everyday and with some encouragement said we’d meet up again in Sept (as we’ve both had busy Aug). he’s been logging on to bumble since we’ve had our date and he’s currently on holiday and I can see he’s signed into bumble but not replied to my watsapp asking if he got there okay… I think it’s okay to be keeping options open after one date but I’m also wary of being messed about… I want to see how the second date goes but also don’t know if I should just stop making an effort with him lol
