Right now in these early stages is when it’s most important to relay the interest that you already know you have, rather than worrying about who does what first. To be fair, yes communication works both ways and she could’ve reached out first as well. But if anything, that’s just something to pay attention to going forward, like if she will put in mutual effort or if she’s stuck in this stigma women have been instilled with, and it’s that men usually make the first move. Whether it’s opening the door, asking her to be in a relationship, proposing, these are just things many women expect for the guy to do. That may be how she works. Also, since you asked her on the date, it’s only fair for you to follow up on it first in general.
