Okay, shock horror I was asked out on a date by a lovely lass I know and has been a running buddy for a couple month.
It caught me by surprise to say the least.
We had a lovely picnic and then a mini camp out to watch the sunrise at Bamburgh Castle (not far from where I live). https://www.bamburghcastle.com .An idea of what it was like.Now I have been told that we need to arrange a second date, in reality when a woman say this she means the we singular and it’s up to me to decide. It needs to be in Northumberland UK and although we are gradually coming out of lockdown, somethings are a bit tight but can pull in favours from friends.
I have thought of some, ideally with some romantic side to it.

Okay, thoughts on just what you do with that problematic 2nd date?

I mean it’s not contentious and no there is no sex, it’s bit too serious for that.
The First date was great, how to follow up with a 2nd Date to move things along and keep it all sweet and romantic.

Okay today is date day. Looks like weather is going to suck later. The plan is horse ride from mates farm down to the coast and along beach and tracks, then to a mates pub come restaurant for a meal.
He’s a brilliant chef and used to work as head chef in number of top class restaurants, he has full choice on the menu, so that’s beans on toast lol.
As a rule I don’t get nervous but feeling something like that now lol

Well we had our date, we went horse riding, bit of a mixed bag, weather turned rubbish got rained on and horse decided I was tasty.
Had a lovely meal at a friends pub and our friends sorted out changes of clothes as we were a tad damp.
Chatting to my dates friend, date 3 was sorted a while back.
Any chance it could be a sunset boat trip? And string some soft led lights around. Have some good music softly playing in the background. And if you guys ate dinner beforehand, at least have strawberries and some wine. I'm a runner also and I love the peacefulness of it so that's why I suggested this. Also if it's cold make sure to have a blanket ready for her! Since you're serious about her, I agree to keep the date oriented around being able to talk in a beautiful setting. Honestly the other things will be just the background! Good luck hun!
Hi, All of the answers here are really good, but you wanted me to post here, so... :) You could just keep it really simple and sweet. A restaurant dinner, followed by a nice long walk along the beach. Watch the stars come out on a peaceful stretch of sand, with no one else for miles around. Just talk, the two of you together, about any topic you like. Get to know each other better that way, in a safe, relaxed environment :)
I don't live there and I don't know you two ao it's hard to tell. I like history (I actually have a degree in it) so Hadrian's wall would be my preference (I know it's mostly gone), but if she's not big in exercise, I doubt she'd like it. I think most people would like the boating though. It's getting warmer which is always a plus for outdoor dates.
Holy wow! Already the first date sounds very romantic! Maybe for the 2nd date, something more adventurous like the horseback riding idea. The boat ride sounds incredible but maybe even nicer when you're both ready to share more intimate moments (not just sex). Sounds dreamy!
For a second date honestly I don’t think I’d rush into sex yet I feel like maybe we can watch movies and cuddle that’s a cute second date bc your getting comfortable but not trying to make it look like your rushing everything now if the person starts to lead you on then yea. But honestly I’ve never been on a date so I prolly don’t know much either 😂
Honestly I’d think that one scene from rapunzel is so sweet where Her and Flynn Ryder are on this cute little canoe and they’re surrounded by floating lanterns and they have their little moment. That’s what I’d like to experience. Or maybe that one scene from the little mermaid where they’re in a similar situation. Something like that lol.
I vote boat trip or observatory so you can be close to each other. Boat trip would be nice for conversation. You could put your arm around her. Lots of romantic potential.
Go mountain biking at the wall! For second date we went hiking. The hike was great for talking and the exercise made us horny. Ended with dinner and sex. 5 years later we still do the same!
Boat trip with seals and observatory sound like great next date ideas. Honestly, anyone who puts effort into coming up with something more interesting to do than having drinks is on to a winning formula.
