That sounds like an odd reason to not let you in his appartment because it rather seems to me like he´s hiding a part of his life to you. If I was in a relationship and I had other women there wouldn´t be a problem to me letting you in my appartment where other people were. That rather seems like an excuse to me to cut you out of a part of his life. I can´t tell you exactly why but to me it rather seems like he doesn´t want you to be there.
