Girls, who use dating apps, when you "like" a man's profile and he doesn't respond, and doesn't message you, do you feel rejected by that? Why?

I used them in my 20s and I never took it personally if a guy did not respond. You have minimum wage guys that want minimum wage girls and you have cardiac surgeons that want to date doctors. Should I be offended that a surgeon has girls he thinks are better than me? No! There are guys who flunked out of high school that might get rejected by me for the same reason the surgeon rejected me etc… When the world is as diverse as it is, there is no reason to be offended when a stranger ignores you.

I haven’t used dating apps yet (and maybe never will; I have a boyfriend and we’re really happy) but I would not feel rejected by that. They’re just random guys. They shouldn’t feel rejected if I’m not into them and I definitely wouldn’t feel rejected if they weren’t into me.

I don’t use them anymore but I have felt rejected on a small scale and whenever I haven’t gotten responses from men that looked both interesting and attractive to me. It didn’t bother me that much tho since a lot of people use dating apps and there was always the next one. Just sending an unanswered message doesn’t equal emotional attachment since I obviously don’t know them yet

Yeah it's not personal. But there's nothing more personal than rejection someone is essentially saying you're not good enough for them. But are they? Like I told @chrissykerdock people are going to like and dislike you for all sorts of reason. Most of the time having more to do with them and less to do with you. Like I also posted to her. I read on a woman's profile she wrote "don't look at my profile and not message me because it's rude". And I thought. So she would want to to message her even though we had absolutely nothing in common? I couldn't have known that till I read her profile. And afterwards I don't see how messaging would serve either of us. So it made me wonder how many women thought this way.

Why would it bother me that a woman didn't message me if I don't even know her, have no connection to her. People are going to like and dislike you for all sorts of reasons. Some reasons that gave nothing to do with you even. I only asked this because a woman wrote on her profile that to look at her profile and then to not message her was rude. And I thought, "so I'm supposed to message her even though I read her profile and determined that even though I found her that we have nothing in common"? What sense does that make? I just asked this question to see if this was a common feeling among women.

Not really. I swipe right on guys all the time. If the guy likes me back, great. If he doesn’t, no biggie.
