What would make someone block you after you unblock them?

Short answer: Immaturity.


Long answer: If someone blocks another it usually means one has upset the other in a significant manner such that they feel immense emotional pain or sadness. It can be as simple as triggering them or disrespecting their values, boundaries, integrity, etc. Unfortunately, few people know how to handle a situation well when they get triggered (me including).


I try to give 2-3 warnings, if possible, before indefinitely blocking them. Sometimes one doesn’t have the space nor energy to have a calm discussion about what went wrong. In this case, one has to do the heavy lifting and analyse how their behaviour may have negatively impacted someone else.

They didn't realize they'd been blocked until you unblocked them. For me blocks are forever. I've nothing to say to you ever again if you've blocked me, so makes sense that you'd get blocked if they just... I don't know... forgot to earlier.
