It’s not about winning or losing, it’s about communication and explaining one’s point of view so that if there’s something to fight about, it doesn’t pull up every single terrible thing. Like how an argument over the toilet seat turns into “You never show me love in a way that I can see it!” “I do love you!” “HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO TELL?” Kinda stuff. It doesn’t matter who wins the argument, the point is addressing why they’re mad and finding a solution, not taking it as a personal accusation and getting defensive.
