Trending & News My wife hates it when other men hug her, let alone the kiss on the cheek. In our culture, it is simply not ok. I try to reciprocate and respect that and I discourage as much as I can for other women to do the same with me. Thankfully, they have realized and respect my position... at work typically... because there is a lot of hugging and kissing at work in Miami / Latino cultire.
Wow !! Superb Opinion !!! Hmmm... Thank you AI π
By the way I need to clear up something. There's absolutely nothing about insecurities as far as my wife is concerned. She has never for once ever indicated any jealousy or any other issue. It is only as time fast and has both of us got more aware of what is allowed what is not allowed culturally and even in terms of our faith that both of us started following certain rules Do the extent that it doesn't become too awkward.
Sometimes you have to give in to another person just so that he or she doesn't feel awkward.
A hug? Most situations I can get on board with that.
Kiss? No.
Plus, I don't date women with "CLOSE" male friends. She can have acquaintances, but not close... going out to lunches/dinners/movies/coffee alone. Calling and texting all the time.
Close male friends or ex boyfriends still in her life? I'd have moved on to someone else.
I don't give it much thought. Because it will not be long before I change boyfriends anyway.
Absolutely, I see no harm in this whatsoever.

I may hug and/or kiss my female friends, and my SO doesn't mind. So of course it's okay for her to hug/kiss her male (or female) friends.
Kiss on the cheek is extremely common in a LOT of cultures. Europe, Latin America, some areas of Middle Eastern / Arabic / African /Asiatic countries. In fact you'll find it a relatively common trait in about 45 to 52 countries.
Now there ARE a few cultures wherein a kiss on the lips is entirely platonic but that's found in only 8 countries. And usually between close long-time friends or family.
.
My point - it depends on the culture of your SO.
Yes they should respect YOUR thoughts as well.
But if you're going to act like an immature brat over something that they've done since they were a child and which 90% of the population in their home country does then... you're the problem and should kindly remove yourself from their life.
We hug and kiss all our friends. No hangouts or petty insecurities here.
A friendly hug never hurts but kisses are FORBIDDEN. This ainβt a 1970s Italian mafia greeting the amigos or three musketeers
Hahahaha !! That gave me a nice laugh !!! Thanks.
@HaveNoName you are welcome ππ¦π¦
On the cheek for a hello/goodbye, of course. If you're exchanging fluids you're wrong.
No. I would consider it cheating and I would break up immediately. Iβm not worried about being single like the majority of others out there
Nah this is where my middle eastern side kicks out lol.. plus I'm not mellow 😅..
I have had friends that wanted me to fick their girlfriends!
If a female friend kisses me it is no biggee. Cheek, lips? uh I don't know. Wife can do whatever

On the cheek
