If you weren't financially stable, would you lie about it?
In all honesty, if she's more concerned about finding out if the person she's on a first date with is financially stable over being emotionally stable, then that would be a red flag for me. Someone who prioritizes a question about financial stability over finding out of someone is emotional stable has suspect motivations and priorities, and at best, doesn't have a very good sense of judgement in my opinion. Financial security is important, but to ask that before getting to know someone is off-putting to me and would be a turnoff.
Most times (unless there's some glaring reason), it takes more than a first date to find out more about that person. It just seems like people today don't have any patience and don't want to work for it or earn the right to know those things about someone over time, and they just want everything up front. Real relationships don't work that way. Dating, especially a first date, isn't just a robotic checklist of traits and qualifications. It's meant to be more than that. Everyone has different priorities, but it takes time to get to know someone. If you're genuinely interested in someone, take the time to get to know him/her. You'll be better off in the long run, and you'll get to know those things in time, but patience and a sense of genuine interest in other qualities are a virtue.
I am financially stable, but I'd tell her that I'm not, if her reaction is concern for me and offering help, she passes, if her reaction is to be critical of me, she gets rejected right then and there.
Or thats what I would do, if I actually went on dates. I don't date strangers, I get into a relationship with a best friend I've known for years, who already knows everything about me and I already know everything about her, long before romantic/sexual interest occurs.
I currently do not have such a friend, so at any moment I'm minimally 3 years away from a relationship even if I somehow met her today.
If it was on a first date it would put me off even though I am financially stable. It is definitely a conversation that you have prior to dating but maybe wait until the second or third date.
Exactly. There are a few important things you need to figure out when you start dating someone, but a couple you probably don’t want to pop during the 1st date.
Answer. It's a question everyone should ask when dating.

I would be honest and say yes and then ask her the same question
I would be impressed that she is more worried about that then my height.
lol..
Its a fair question. If someone is looking for a partner for life, this is a question that can make or break a relationship. There's no point lying, once he finds out which he will then he will dump you. Just answer honestly and if he doesn't want to be with you because you aren't then that's that and move on.
Bringing up money as a subject on a first date is a serious red flag.
Credit score is a better indication. A financially responsible person is always financially stable person.
She doesn't really need to ask since Guys that spend their money on expensive toys are not financially stable people. All she has to do is look at what he blows his money on.
I don't know... I would tell him the truth but I'm not sure if it would put me off or not.. considering I haven't had many first dates LOL
I'd get the hell up and walk out... though I respect the honesty enough to be up front about what you're about. Snapped has hundreds of episodes of what happens to guys who've fallen for females where that was a main motive of theirs. And that's not mentioning the thousands of guys across the country I've had the misfortune of meeting, sharing those same experiences-and those are the ones who lived. So without a word, I'm walking out. It's saving my life, literally.
I'd tell the truth. I'd ask the question back. If they weren't so open it would put me off. I'd wonna know what they brought. I have decent income, my own home.
Honestly I think that's a pretty valid question. Definitely something you'd want to know about a potential long term partner.
And I would answer.
I'd place her ahead of everyone else, because she clearly intends to dominate that ass (my ass).
I dont mind
I honestly like people who are being straight ( and blunt) , because i am like that too.
I'd definitely not talk to her again. Unless I used her for sex and strung her along
Nah I understand why someone would ask that. It’s important. I’d answer.
@Billlewis just answering this question lol I haven’t been on dates so I don’t actually know anything
Wouldn't bother me at all. It's a reasonable question. I would answer honestly
I would say something like "if you mean that i do not live with my toxic parents then yes, i can stand on my own 2 feet"
Regardless if I were financially stable or not, there wouldn't be a second date afterwards.
Nobody is going to ask me that. It's not hard to figure out my financial stability
I have never been on a date when a girl asked me that.
I think when a girl sizes you up she knows how far she can push you.
That question seems something suitable for simps.
First I'd laugh. Then I'd ask her, well what's "stable" to you. Then I'd ask her do you have any cases of insanity in her family. And then I'd ask her how much debt she in.
I would decline to answer, end the date, and never see her again. My finances are my business.
I actually appreciate being straight forward so it should be fine..
I would answer honestly. Right now I'm somewhat stable.
I'd say no because she's looking for cash
I'm making more than the financially stable but it comes with a big helping of risk
I'd tell her I wouldn't be on this date if I wasn't.
I would be too busy trying to get my shit together
I would tell her the truth which I am.
I would say: Yes, why?
End the date and lose her number.
I would ask if she’s mentally stable.
Answer. Come clean, come early, come often.
You're 36-45 asking us this?
