Speaking from experience, there is a massive problem with disloyal girlfriends and wives to soldiers in the military, and I've heard it's almost as bad for specifically cops but not so much other emergency service workers. I would imagine any job that requires frequent or long travel periods would be the worst, followed by jobs with irregular or inconsistent hours.

Trucker seems like an obvious one that would fit this bill but most that I've talked to on the subject have fairly consistent schedules and are able to make it work.

Lol why did you pick mostly jobs that are nests for the worst type of guys! Hard to pick the worst 😭 Trucker is the worst for the distance aspect, the rest can't be trusted without intense check for unwanted patterns in behavior and personality. I might end up with choosing the trucker because the others have so many chances of being terrible men. Considering I'm sure he is good, I would date the construction man. He breaks his back 10 hours day for me and our child and I take care of the rest, I can see it working out. Irl I'm dating a man who works as some sort of higher manager in a warehouse.

I don't think it's a lack of the job being respectable.
I chose military not because it's a bad or unrespectable job but because they likely won't be home much, and that does suck for dating.

I don’t know enough about it. I don’t know if retiring at 40 is just an American thing or not, since I don’t live in the USA. Might be different in my country. Either way, dating someone in the military is not something that I would handle.
