Am I wrong for feeling this way?

Okay so i have a boyfriend he was a single parent yes when i met him and he claims he loves me wants to marry me but… everytime when things get rough he always say “its hard being a single father” and im like offended because we are in a relationship and he talks about how much his ex wants him to move with her but claims he loves me unconditionally but doesn’t want to do it… am i wrong for wanting to distance myself?

It is hard being a single parent and dating one also comes with its own difficulties. You’re gonna have to be okay with the ex still being in the picture somewhat, bcs of the kids. Your boyfriend is also in a tough spot, he’s caring for his kid but at the same time he wants to move on and be with you. It’s gonna take a while for him to be able to balance and blend his old life (with his kid) with his future life (with you). I think there needs to be a lot of understanding from your end, he also needs to be open with you about his relationship with his ex. I don’t think you need to distance yourself but instead, just have a deep conversation with him about your expectations in this relationship.
