I went on 2 dates with a girl after we met at the university residences gathering. She seemed interested in me and asked to go on coffee dates. She hugged and exchanged chocolates too. Now, she's ignoring my messages all of a sudden (no skirmishes, nothing). She opened up about her last struggles on the 2nd date, and now she acts like I'm non-existent.

Honestly? Move on.

People can lose interest that fast, or something (or someone) else came along and distracted her. If you're messaging her but she's not reciprocating, that's my hint she's no longer interested in you. That's when I leave them alone. If she reached back out one day and you decide to give her another chance? Great. But I wouldn't stress over it.
