I’ve been on four dates with her and spent the weekend with her family. We have a lot in common and I click well with her family. We are traveling to Europe for a week and I asked if she was interested in being in a relationship. She said it is too soon for that. She said a few dates back that she has a boyfriend by the third date on average. We are the same age.

I have to agree with jahaims. It sounds like she's changed her requirements. She may have been the type to rush into love too quickly and got hurt too many times. So it may be she's being cautious due to past relationships. But we can't answer that for her.

No one here an answer for her. Nothing about this makes any sort of sense to me. She has introduced you to her family and you are traveling with her to Europe and yet she doesn't want a relationship. That doesn't add up to me in the slightest. Who is paying for this trip to Europe? I hope to God it isn't you because that will be very telling. She had a boyfriend by the third date on average? How many dudes she dating to have an average? I think it is pretty clear she doesn't view you as boyfriend material though.

Well I’m confused about it too that’s why I asked. She paid for her ticket I’m paying for everything else. I don’t know she mentioned that when we were talking about the longest relationships we’ve had.

It takes more than 4 dates to know someone. The heck, a great number of people don't know their partner after a lifetime together!

This lady is smart because she learned from her mistakes. She is not ready to make one more of those mistakes that did not make her happy.

People very seldom tell the truth about themselves, even after 4 dates. There is always something that needs to be hidden. Who will confess after 4 dates to a person that they barely know that they have a criminal record, that they have addictions or that they are terminally ill? Nobody does that because you don't know that person well enough to confess something like that.

So, give her credit for making sure that this time, she dates the right person by ensuring that she knows all the facts about you, even the hidden ones.

Well she has talked about how many kids she wants and other things to make sure we’re on the same page. I have been honest and upfront about everything because I don’t like wasting my time. If someone doesn’t want to be with you because of something in the past I feel it’s better to get that out of the way sooner than later so you’re not wasting your time and money. But maybe I’m just more comfortable sharing than she is.

Yes, guys are supposed to ask women out for dates, but women are the ones who have to ask for a committed relationship. If she's not trying to get commitment from you then she doesn't like you enough.
