Why did she say that she didn’t feel the romantic connection and we should be friends after 3 dates?

First date went well, we snuggled, kissed and held hands in public. We walked around the park and talked, lasted about 2 hours. The next night she came over which turned into a hookup and that’s basically all that happened. After that I felt something changed because both of us had intentions of relationship. Last night, we went bowling, chatted for a bit and then texted me that she didn’t feel a romantic connection and suggested we be friends. I said “I’m not interested in being friends and I choose to move on with my life.”

She started out really strong like responding right away and sending long texts. I got called out for not responding back as quickly as she’d like. It feels like she did the pendulum. Can you all please share the reasons why she said I don’t feel a romantic connection? Want to improve and learn from the experience

It happens dude, who knows. Honestly it has everything to do with them and nothing to do with you.

Its happened to me more than once, but I only got one woman to elaborate on it. Basically, all it came down to is that she had just come off a bad relationship. She thought she was over it, but apparently, she wasn't. She meet me and it started to think that there could be something more to it all, and that freaked her out because it brought up a lot of anxiety for her about her previous relationship.

So she wanted space... but for her she didn't want to be freinds either. She said spending time with me would be to difficult for her because she could really fall in love with a guy like me and she just isn't ready for that again.

Sounded like bullshit to me. But she took down her dating profile and was off the site. About two months later she was right back on the site with a new profile. So fucking knows what her deal was.

She probably just doesn't have that type of feeling towards you.
It sounds like she tried, but something is missing.
I've been in that situation before.
I had feelings for her, and we had fun together and enjoyed each other's company, but I could tell it just was never going to develop into anything further.
I was going to call her and tell her that when she called me.
She seemed taken back by my reaction to her, I was happy, jovial and not at all sad.
It saved me the trouble of making that call.
It ended up for the best, the next one I dated we ended up getting married.

Honestly it sounds like she decided she wasn't interested and doesn't want to tell you why. I wonder if she actually just liked that attention until something else came along.

She's invoking the 3 dates rule that some women have; I think they read about it in Cosmopolitan. I once dated a woman who did the same to me. After 3 dates, she didn't feel chemistry between us, so we stopped dating. It didn't matter that I was trying to take things slow, because I didn't want go scare her away. I learned from that. I was very attracted to the next woman I dated and made a pass at her on our first date. We had sex on date #2 and a very nice 6 month relationship.
