Why did she say no?

I started getting feelings for this girl in a couple of my classes. We talked a lot and she would even come over to me and start conversations whenever I wasn't with anybody. she always played with her hair and we stared into each others eyes when we talked. my girl friends all told me to go for it so I did. she told me that she needed to think about. well she never said anything to me and never gave me an answer. we didn't really talk that much after that and now a month later she is flirty. when I helped her with her books she grabbed my arms, started blushing and all she could say was wow. she starts these little conversations in the halls and is very smiley. Why would she say no then but now flirt with me a lot?

If your friends, who are girls, told you to go for it (I'm guessing they saw you and her interact right in front of them or something, probably in the hall/at school) then I would hink one of a couple of things:

She could of had a couple of dating options and didn't know which one she liked the most and now she is choosing you

or

She didn't know what kind of guy you were and she was playing hard to get.

or

She was confused about if she liked you or not or how much, and it took a while for her to realize if she was going to go for it.

And if you were nervous or anything when you asked her, she could of read into that, and now that your not nervous she feels cool around you. Because your acting like yourself, again, or something like that.

maybe she just likes flirting.i know I flirt with a ton of guys, some of whom I probably wouldn't go out with (not saying that you're not dateable, but maybe she is just a big flirt) simply because then it would be serious instead of light and fun

Maybe she is having second thoughts about telling you no before. Maybe she realizes that she likes you and wants to be near you and should've said yes before but doesn't know how to tell you.
