How do I talk to a shy guy if I’m shy as well?

I think he might be shy or nervous like me and I really don’t know how to talk to him. I get scared because both of our parents are always around and I never see him by himself. I don’t have his number either so that makes it hard.

Well first off, speak to him with a simple "Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening". Maybe ask him how he's doing and what he is studying at the moment. From then, slowly walk your confidence in asking him more other random stuff (it doesn't need to be all at once, take your time with it)
