What does it mean when a girl reminds/confirms the date the day before?

We have a second date planned for tomorrow and earlier today she sent me a snap with the text “just wanted to remind you of *place and time* tomorrow?” (Maybe not 100% same words)

I have never experienced anything like this before even though I have been on tons of dates.

is it a positive thing? Negative? Neutral?

Positive.
1. She's letting you know that she's looking forward to the date and hasn't forgotten about it.
2. She is sending you a considerate, friendly reminder.
3. She is checking to make sure that you plan to be there. That's pro-active and also shows that she has her shit together.
4. She won't spend time getting ready if you can't make it.
5. If, after confirming the plans, you don't show up, she'll know that you are either totally inconsiderate, a flake, or aren't interested in her. You won't have an excuse. She'll realize that you aren't the kind of guy she is interested in.

Okay. That’s about how my initial reaction was to. She seems like an organised girl, for example she has either made mental notes or wrote down which days I was free this month because she knew the specific days when we were planning this date.

Other girls have obviously just assumed that I remember the dates and will be there since they have never sent me any reminder like this… and not that I need a reminder, I am also organised.

To me it seems like she really wants to make sure that the date is still on, and therefore she confirms it… but you know… these days things are not always as the seems. Reading any articles or watching videos about dating etc… will always make you question everything.

How did that second date go?

I think it went well. Just like the first date it became long. Loads of eye contact and laughs.

Funny story. On my first date with my future wife, we met at a restaurant and totally hit it off. Our conversation was effortless and time flew by.
At some point, I felt something bumping my foot and realized that a waiter was vacuuming under our table. We looked around and the place was empty. We had been there for a long time just chatting away, unaware of the passage of time.

On our first date time really flew by. We met for lunch and I got home about 19.00… and it felt like we maybe were there for 2 hours max… but apparently it was over 6 hours.
And at the second date time also flew by, even though I was more aware of the time.

I think that’s a good indicator. When you feel like you’ve just met for a fast lunch and then realise that it’s now evening.
