I met my second husband on gag 2016. We dated LD for 4-5 years. But we are both well established in ways that we were able to take time to see each other as well as having the funds to travel.
most people may not have such opportunity. Often the connections fall through and trust broken.
it was very very hard work … at the end, we made it work and are married for over 2 years. now.
we did break up for a year to truly work on ourselves and didn’t go off to look for other people.
It taught us to appreciate each other and forgive each other. We are in a very good place now.

I do have a 16 year old teen. I would not recommend her meeting strangers online at this age. If she does, we sure would want to know and will know her where about and understand her situations. If it all looks good. We would support her decisions.

Yes the vast majority of the online world is fake. Instead of a 16 year old girl you could be some middle aged 300lb. Guy living in his mom's basement in Detroit.😆 You never know who you're talking to so be careful. If you meet a guy meet him PUBLICLY some place where there's a modicum of safety. Don't go ANYWHERE with him until you know him.

We met in person, and had a great date and everything. She even told me that she was happily surprised that I'm exactly the person I portrayed myself to be. She didn't seem to think she was who she portrayed herself to be though... it was a very bizarre breakup.

I believe things should be taken with time, the best things don't come by rushing into it, there's many steps in between that shouldn't be taken lightly because it plays a role in the building of a relationship or a bond in general.
