I associate the term womanizer with Casanova — someone who really knows their way around women. He was able to seduce married women and even nuns. He was a skilled seducer.

That’s quite different from a guy that will sleep with whoever he can get.

A Man-Eater would be the kind of woman who would be able to seduce men that aren’t supposed to be available. She’s dangerous.

That danger factor and her ability to seduce men who aren’t easily seduced is what separates a Man Eater from a common slut.

I agree with Lisa. The original term was "Man Eater." A woman who basically used and abused men, when she was done, she would spit them out, and leave them an emotional wreck. Many men who were subject to these women committed suicide. They had been so demoralized, they saw no other way.

Women and men see things differently. When a woman is treated wrongly by a man, she tends to talk it out with other trusted women to help her cut away from that man, and regain her life. When men receive that type of treatment, they close up, and internalize it; it slowly destroys them till they off themselves.
