People have always wanted to be in relationships. The obsessions you see today are because with technology it’s never been easier to meet someone new.


Also with technology it’s harder than ever to form an authentic connection.

Basically it’s hard to meet the right person and fall In love, always has been. But we see examples every day showing how “easy” it is.. and that causes people to obsess..

Yes I've noticed. I asked this question because I noticed that on GAGs feed that all you see. Questions about relationships constantly. It can get a bit boring.

That’s true, it’s a major theme of the website. And I’ve learned mostly when girls ask what seems like a general question about guys.. they deep down either have a crush or are asking about one guy

Yeah that's true!! a lot of questions are actually quite predictable in that sense.

Barry you nailed it buddy. It's advertised like it's the easiest thing, but yeah people really struggle with it. Human beings aren't meant to be alone, they're meant to be part of a community, part of a family. And with the breakdown a family values in this country, relationships and how we form them and build them has been devastated. And it's also a generational thing, I'm Gen X, before me were baby boomers, and behind me are the millennials. Growing up you met a girl you talk to her you asked her out, you started dating. You got married you had kids, and you stayed married. That was the idea that was the concept, online dating or with the Advent of online dating, it's made people recyclable and replaceable.

Because people have become stuck on the idea that they need to have a purpose in life which is being with another person and that not being in a relationship makes people believe they're worthless.

Honestly so far yes. I have many things I need to do and I believe that a partner and having one is an addition not something that completes me. And this means I am that kind of person that enjoys their own company and I don't believe in being with someone just for the sake of it or because its what people think I should do. So unless I meet someone I really like that makes me happy I prefer to stay alone rather than have toxic people around me. This also doesn't mean that I don't want to be in a relationship and love and be loved its just that simply its not my top priority and its not like I feel the need to actively seek a relationship.

Because in today's world we have this sense of instant gratification and honestly it comes pretty easy. But relationship is hard, and people are so self-absorbed with themselves that they can imagine a world in which they live that does not revolve around them.

Well we’ve all been told or its been heavily implied that we are losers if we are not in a relationship or we’re abnormal or there’s something wrong with us so its has the effect of people hating being single.

I’ve learned to love myself more so i no longer have that issue
