What is the point of relationships anymore these days?

Here’s why I’m asking: Everyone cheating more so than ever nowadays. Men are afraid to start families because of women cheating and becoming pregnant with another guy’s baby.
So, can someone tell me why people still want relationships, marriages, or kids, even though everyone is going to get hurt at the end? I need an explanation.

1. Cheaters are cheating.

2. There is an increased number of confused people as well as an increased number of people who are defensive due to being hurt by cheaters...

Relationships and Marriage... still happen because there are eternal optimists... who believe that surviving ONE violent/abusive/cheating loser doesn't suddenly make all men evil, for instance. They don't function on the defensive and keep that silver lining mentality alive despite the negativity surrounding them about the nature of relationships and marriage in the present day.

Kids... are we trying to end the human race now? Come on...

Darwinian Theory: People get their feelings hurt... and move on... and meet someone appropriate enough to propagate the species with... That's how that works.

Cheater's Darwinian Theory: F anything that moves till you've helped propagate the species... or something along these lines. (Cheaters tend to be fairly callous about their activities and justify everything they do...)

Because not everybody is getting hurt in the end, and a lot of lower quality people see those high quality people's marriages and think that they will end up with those same results. So they go for it.

Well I'm not into screwing around so even if that is the most popular and most effective way to date nowadays I just have to be true to myself and I have to find a woman who's worth being in a relationship with. Which is not easy but there are still people out there who don't follow the trends and think for themselves a bit so it's harder but you just have to deal with the challenges that you're faced with in life. If I've made a decision or have a certain way I live my life I won't change that just because external circumstances are making it difficult. I chose this path for a reason I'm going to stick to it. If I change my mind for good reasons because I see a new perspective or I find an even better way to do things then that's great but I won't change it just because of challenges. And that mindset has worked out for me pretty well in my life.

Not everyone is a cheater 😂 Some people actually have morals and standards. Just because you got cheated on does not make every guy a cheater. Change your filter. Look for different things in a guy that correlate to being faithful.

Everyone still seeks relationships because it's a biological desire. Man is meant to be with women. We're meant to create more life together. We all desire unwavering love and support. The thing is womens criteria for a partner is way to high and unrealistic nowadays. Then because women limit themselves to only a specific type of man, they keep ending up with guys that cheat on them. And that gives the majority of guys that do not cheat a bad name.

turn off the news and GAG as necessary. I know plenty of people NOT doing the above. The others, I don't care to know... ya know...

people spend lots of time cleaning their house, taking showers, brushing teeth... general maintenance. But we permit "garbage" culture into our minds and homes.

Clean it out and throw it out... before you get infected...

I have to deal with this on a daily basis with "garbage media" like ads and music which is polluting. Learn to filter it out and live the life you want, vs what is projected onto you.

There isn't any. This is why I'm single. Why would I want to be with someone who's only going to try to make me feel bad about about myself and my life harder?

Occasionally I miss companionship but then I just remind myself this was the opposite genders choice not mine. Then I chuckle and go on with my life.

I think there are just a lot of people today that realize most people are not worth dating anymore. But I think they're driven by two things. 1. The desperate albeit futile belief that they beat the odds and actually meet someone who values them. Or 2. They're so OBSESSED with image that they'll date someone that doesn't care about them, maybe even despises them to keep up some sham that they are successful.

It’s because not everyone is toxic. I believe that there are good women out there just as much as I have seen there be good men. I think the problem is that social media and news outlets thrive off making impressionable younger people paranoid about things that don’t really matter. This is because of money and that fear mongering is something that is a cash cow.

I think people need to stop engaging in casual sex and start screening their partners better. I personally am a good example of a successful relationship, I had to go through 6 long term relationships before i met my wife. But i have been married for 10 years, together 12.

With rampant cheating and social media addictions, it's so much easier to go to bed with an anime body pillow girlfriend in one hand and an AI girlfriend in the other than with an actual real girl from outside, that doesn't cheat nor will refuse me for not being on social media.
