Why are these so many less attractive men than attractive women?

For a 8/10 looking guy i’d have compete with like 6 different 10/10 women it’s crazy. Why are there so many less attractive men than there are attractive women?

It's subjective, so I can't really answer that. But here's my guesses as to why there's a lot of "ugly looking dudes."

1) Up until recently, moisturizers, tanning lotions, etc were all thought of as a "womanly" thing. We didn't put on the eye creams, so we have deeper bags. We tended tgo work outside, so age shows more if you don't wear sunscreen.

2) Makeup for guys is, likewise, seen as a feminine thing; unless you're an actor on broadway, or "you're one of those nerds who does that Cosplaying thing," then you shouldn't wear makeup as a dude. Same with "Spanx" for men, or those t shirts with the fake muscles.

3) We tend to do riskier stuff that adds wear and tear.

4) At a certain age, it's harder to see and hear more and more, so guys of a certain age might not notice that you should take a weed whacker to that ear hair. I know a guy in his eighties who didn't shave those tricky parts, (probably harder to get at them, too, without perhaps shakey hands) and no one said anything, so he just kept it. His ear were thick with dark gray hair. Nose, too.

5) I want to look better, but at some point, I'm just gonna be ugly. I might want to wear the nerd t-shirts and jeans, I don't go out a lot, so I just might run a comb through, take a breath mint, brush the teeth, and maybe shave. Personally, I like a little scruff or stubble on me. Women aren't' attracted, and will probably never be attracted to me, so why spend an extra hour every day to look good for no one who's going to care?

6) That stuff gets expensive. Tiny lotions for $50. A dye and cut is at least $100 these days (last dye I did, it looked bad to me - big risk to take that my hair looks unnaturally dark). Now I have to spend that money every time I get a cut? Let's say $120 every six weeks.

A lot of us guys either want to spend on other stuff, or we feel weird about buying expensive stuff for ourselves, for tiny changes.

I've been doing eye cream for several years. I can't say I've noticed a difference in how I look. I use moisturiser a lot. It helps handling things while not being too sticky... but overall, I don't think my hands are particularly better than they would be if I never used it.

7) We guys tend to like simple. I have to learn all this fashion stuff? That's a lot of time spent, just to impress people who probably wouldn't bother with me even with all that stuff. Shampoo AND Conditioner at the same time in the same bottle? Sign me up. If it's going to take an extra 30 minutes each day to look not much better, or not feel better (while also doing what we already do to look presentable), it's not worth it.

Because most men devote their time into working and providing and fixing things around the house getting their hands dirty and doing more of the dirty work and the heavy lifting , they don’t really have time to focus on their appearance as much as a girl does , most girls’ devote their time into looking good and beautiful so she can find herself a a man that can provide for her and take care of her, so she won’t break a nail.. i dated girls’ that were all about their appearance and her hair and her make up , she couldn’t leave the house unless they felt good about themselves , don’t get me wrong I didn’t complain what so ever that she looked good, I just complained about the time she took to get ready , I’m like babe you look fine let’s go , she would just say give me a minute, give me a minute , I’m thinking shit, we are just going to the grocery store what the fuck is she getting dressed up for? a fashion show? Come on !! Lol But if I asked her to help with bringing the groceries into the house , How dare I even consider asking her for help since she just did her nails So there’s your answer as to why most men aren’t as attractive as women , we don’t have the time and we don’t really give a shit like most girls’ tend to

Women rate 80% of men as ugly so they are all competing for that top 20% of men. What makes it even worse is they are so delusional and entitled that they believe they deserve that level of man regardless of how fat they are, how old they are, or how many baby daddies they have. Women think the men they truly qualify for are beneath them thanks to feminism and social media turning them into narcissists. The result is the Chads are spoiled for choice and have no incentive to commit to any of these hoes while the average man is called ugly and gets nothing.

It's because a lot of men just throw on a polo shirt and jeans and that's it. They don't put on make up or do a skin care routine.

And also even though women fine certain men more attractive, a lot of times they end up dating a fat ugly looking guy. The woman will tell you that she will only date a ripped super model with a 6 figure salary, but a year later she's with a fat bald man.

Its the same as that theory about older men only want younger women. Most guys will say they think younger women in their early 20s is the most attractive, but when given the chance they choose to date a woman about their age or slightly younger.

So the attractiveness does matter I am not saying it doesn't matter at all, but it's only a small part of the relationships. And a lot of guys are told its feminine to worry about fashion. That's why a lot of guys just focus on nerdy guy stuff like video games programing.

tbh, women are naturally the more aesthetic sex, but if you look with keener eyes most aren't that attractive either. For example, a lot of women in their 20s are overweight and have a ballooning ego, and yet they still get considered attractive. There's kind of a halo/horns effect.

Attraction is not as subjective as a lot of other men are saying. If it was, women wouldn't find most men unattractive. 80% of men are deemed unattractive and invisible. The numbers are only going to increase with time. Natural selection is cleaning house
