If a guy says he will make up for cancelling last minute, how should I handle it?

I’ve been talking to and hanging out with this guy for the last 6 weeks. We were supposed to get together tonight around 7:30 but he cancelled last minute. Something had come up with his friend moving in. He said don’t be mad then he said he will make it up to me. Should I just let me “make it up to me” with whatever that means? Guys what would you do to make it up and girls what would you expect?

I don’t want to be a pushover. This is the first time he cancelled plans. We are exclusive and I don’t think there is any other women.

If this is his first time, things happen. If this is ongoing and consistent, then yeah you can be upset. Things happen where people have to simply cancel. Let him make it up to you like he said he would and then go back to normal programming.
