Most of the time, the guy is taking all the pictures of the family, and he rarely appears in any pictures alone, only with other members of the family. So it's often the only picture he has of himself is with others, so he has to crop them out.
In most cases, I don't think it's cringe or immature behavior. He's just trying to post teh best picture he has.
I was married for 20 years and we had 3 kids. I have thousands of family pictures, and I'm in maybe 10% of them, never alone, always with others. Why? Because I was almost always the picture taker.
I think it's funny. I think it's funny when women do it to. Because it's not like you're not going to be curious. I always wonder what women are thinking of the women on my profile pics. It makes me wonder whether they guessing what relation she is to me. Makes me wonder if they're judging her beauty. Like are the women in my pics above or below her. If she's too attractive she won't talk because she's afraid I'll find her too ugly. Or if she's too ugly she won't talk because she consider talking to me slumming it.😆
Then I stop thinking about it altogether. Because we're talking about a WOMAN here. Which mean there are countless goblins in her head telling her all kind of nonsense. There's no sense even worrying about any of this.🤣
It's definitely weird and lazy. How hard is it to just take a decent newer picture of yourself? I don't want a pic of the guy when he was in love with someone else. Then you just get the haggard, washed up version in person when you finally meet... Most profiles with pics of the people in groups bother me. Any lazy looking profiles with no quality control bothers me. Byee to all of them!

In a group photo always put your partner on the end. That way you can cut them out easier. This is particularly important with family photos at Christmas
I see women doing the same thing actually but they don’t really do that with their exes they just crop it out, but the kids are usually blacked out and the other thing that women do is take pictures with their friends still in the picture and keep posting almost the same friend and I can’t figure out who’s actually the one trying to date Until I finally find one that’s by herself. so basically people do a lot of dumb things with pictures on dating sites from what I’ve noticed
Only thing I can think of is: Is it really such a pain to take a selfie of yourself smiling just as good? Obviously.
u I do think... AI can already edit it as if they never were there in the first place...
all these new phones already do some crazy editing right after the photo is taken
I hadn't gone on one of those lame dating sites in 6+ years never had the need to I got all the crazy I need now I'm my life. And those dumbest dating sites are geared towards ego boosting women while stripping a man of his confidence self worth and self respect and dignity
The only one that should be in your profile is you and only you. Not your friends, not your kids, not your parents, or exes. Only you. Cropping exes is an automatic no.
I think taking a picture of themselves by themselves would be much better.

The exes make the picture sour, I get it, maybe it just so happened to be a good picture of you. But seeing the kids cropped out saddens me.
