Is this suspicious?

My boyfriend works in merchandising retail and makes his own schedule. He tries to schedule his work when I am working but whenever he has to work when I am off he tells me I "have" to go to his work with him. I do not necessarily mind going because it is time with him but sometimes I am too tired and he says his reason is just wanting me there with him because it makes his work more pleasant and although he has said before that I do not "have" to go but then other times actually used the phrase "you have to" and just makes it feel like it is not really my choice but something that he is really pretty much set on. This is making me feel like he is untrustworthy and afraid of someone coming by our house to tell me something or me finding something while he is away or either that he does not trust me at all.

Yeah, that does seem kinda fishy to me. A few things that raise red flags:

- Why is it SO important that you go with him every time? His work can't be that much more fun just cuz you're there.

- Saying you "have" to go instead of just asking is weird and controlling. Like you said, takes away your choice.

- Getting upset if you're too tired is lame. You're allowed to have other plans.

- Makes me wonder if there's something at your house or what he's doing when you're not around that he doesn't want you to find out about.

I'd keep your guard up for sure. A few things you could try:

- Casually ask co-workers what he's really like at work, if he mentions you a lot.

- See if any friends could stop by your place "accidentally" on a day he's supposed to work alone.

- Check phone/messages if you get a chance when he's not lookin

- Trust your gut - if somethin feels off, it prob is

Dunno, just be careful. Maybe he's hiding something shady. I'd snoop around a bit and see what you find. Better safe than sorry!

It’s not so much suspicious as it is clingy and insecure. As if he is afraid of what you do out of his eyesight.

What kind of work does he do that he can just bring people along whenever he pleases?

You have your own life to live also. He is not in control of you. Sometimes we all need time to our self. I'd tell him to chill and that he has nothing to be worried about. Is something weird or missing from your sex life with him?
