Do friend of diff gender to to cinema just 2 of them?

I personally would never go to cinema with a guy, just two of us, if i'm not interested in him. Cuz i have this thoughts that, unlike other place where it is more open, but cinema is more to darkness and secluded hence if i go with someone, surely its more than just a hang out. But then, i don't know from a guy's pov, hence i'm asking.

We plan to grab a lunch, then only go to watch movie. I don't know his intention, is it something more or simply hangout

I can't see a problem if both of us know exactly what kind of relationship we are in and we don't mix things or send mixed signals.

I don't see my male friends as sexual objects, so I have no problem with visiting secluded and dark places with them. It's called a trust.

I went to the movies with my guy best friend in high school and we literally slept on each others heads through the whole movie😂 we’re still best friends 16 years later 🤷🏻‍♀️

and we've been to many dark places... in fact, half the earth was dark, we do prefer to out at nights..
