I would never wanna be around someone, who said s*** like that to me. I feel calling someone average looking is disrespectful in my opinion.
Hmmm, I've been told that, but mostly by women. It's kind of weird. Men tend to say I'm very beautiful/attractive. For example, men on here ranked me a 7-10 for the most part. Most women agree, but on this site specifically it's been a few who ranked me lower. A few women ranked me a 3-6. In person no woman has ever ranked me lower than a 5.
Could be cultural, could be genetic incompatibility, could be racism, could be jealousy and a desire to try to make someone else feel worse, could be that women are just pickier. I don't know, I didn't think about it too hard.
I don't think average is bad. Average is not ugly, and it still means you're doing better than about half or other people. So, I would not take it as an insult. I would take the positive route and just assume I am not for them when it comes to looks.
As for what I think I am, I don't know. Depends on the day. Most days I don't look at myself that hard in the mirror. All that matters to me is what my partners think, and they are very happy. I know if I dress up, then I draw so much attention from strangers that it makes me uncomfortable.01 Reply- +1 y
You might look different in pics, compared to real life. I know some people that rate poorly on sites like this, reddit, etc, and don't get attention on Tinder, but they get a decent amount IRL.

+1 yI consider average joe and plain jane to be attractive but nothing to brag about. I would consider myself a plain jane. I don’t go out of my way to dressup but i can still pull a mf. I don’t expect to be called beautiful and though I have, I dont believe it. I think im cute at best. I’m not offended by someone calling me average if i have no interest in them but it would suck to hear from someone you’re dating. Besides isn't average about the same as being called “mid” these days. Its of the ordinary and doesn't standout in terms of looks

Oh gotcha. Isn't cute the same as hot, or sexy, just that people that look younger or have baby faces would get called that? I guess if someone that you were dating ever said that, I would just say, I'll find someone, who does think I'm more than an average joe lol.
- +1 y
*said you were average

Cute is closer to adorably attractive. Hot is like out of your league type shit. Sexy is more sultry and someone you find bangable. Sexy and hot more so describe the body while Cute and beautiful more so describe the face. And yea i wouldn't date someone who considered me average
- +1 y
I would really love to see how you look hahha

u +1 ywell, I know I am... lol
average good though... and it's been said in many ways too "cute, you look good, you look fine, this and that" and many more do focus on my eyes, which for whatever reason many do say they're great, and the smile too
so I know very well and everyone else knows too... that I am not one of those models where evidently, all stands out as VERY attractive so, it is not about believing... so yeah, I do have an average good looking face, the body though... that's a different story, lol
at the end of the day, I don't really care much about looks, I've never been insecure about the physical... my challenges growing up were others, lol
and at least in my case, I am always seen as the whole thing, with the personality and the attitude, the way I carry myself and that always has had an impact on how people perceive me and that is always a plus, lol25 Reply- +1 y
It's great to have that attitude, but I'm sure some people think that you are very attractive.

well yes... those who loved me

+1 yI've gotten told that I'm a 7/10 by one friend that was a girl in high school. I did believe it because she was being honest and that's more than I would have rated myself. But ever since after high school, I've learned how to maintain myself and dress better and most people say I'm pretty attractive. I've just always found it hard to believe it when they say that 😅

That is just my opinion of myself though, I’ve generally been told I’m pretty and I do attract other people. The only true negative I’ve ever gotten was due to my weight prior to losing and then a few troll comments online about how I looked which was honestly just ridiculous tbh

u +1 yEVERYONE can't be above average, can they? In my mind, there's nothing wrong with being average. I've dated girls who were a 5/10 based on appearance, but they were great girlfriends, attentive, caring, and very satisfying sexually.

+1 yMy dad's very blunt with with his compliments lmao, so from what I've been told I'm pretty without make-up and that's, quote, "a rare feat in the fcked up world we live in"
... so, yeah. No one's ever called me 'average', I guess I've always considered myself to be a 6 and if I put actual effort in, probably higher. But I reaaaally don't bother to improve my appearance00 Reply- 1.3K opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 yYes, when I was younger I had friends that told me I was average or below average. I have even had people call me ugly. Now that I am older I realize that all the women who called me these things were uglier than me or just mean to everyone around them. I have never had a guy tell me I was ugly in my whole life, even guys who bullied me or didn't like me. But yes, I still have issues with how I look now.

+1 yI have never been called average looking that I can remember.. In fact some people made it a point to say that I'm not average looking.. Face or body.. I would consider it an insult, just means you look normal.. Not extraordinarily pretty or extraordinarily ugly..
00 Reply Nope. The total opposite. I receive comments like “you are so beautiful” and I know I’m very gorgeous.
. .
But if you receive a comment like that, why are you surrounding yourself with that kind of people? In my opinion it sounded a bit disrespectful.00 Reply
+1 yOnly after I’ve rejected the person. It’s always a stranger that can’t handle rejection. Shrug. Weaklings.
10 ReplyI think I'm very average looking, but I've never been told that. I've only ever been told that I'm really attractive, by people representing every demographic group you can think of. I don't know why though.

+1 yI'm fat but my face card is on point and my personality is good to, so according to men I'm prolly about a 3 but I'll never believe it for myself.

+1 yYes, but hell no I didn't agree with it... Because I'm actually below-average. (Objectively speaking)
03 Reply- +1 y
What do you mean Objectively? It is a subjective thing
- +1 y
Not exactly.
You can observe current beauty standards, identify universally attractive qualities, and see how they align with your own features. Symmetrical faces, for example, are generally considered universally attractive, as they are liked by a majority. Take a similar approach with your other features to measure your overall attractiveness.
In my personal experience, this method has proven fairly accurate and has aided me in accepting myself without giving any false hope or living in denial. - +1 y
Oh, I have been told that I have vertical symmetry, so that's cool, I guess lol
+1 yHave been told I'm average but I think I am a little above average given my wife is WAY better looking than me. As in objectively looks like a supermodel minus the make up

You are a good looking dude to me (no homo), and I'm sure some people have said the same. Just like people I know, have been called everything (uggo, decent, very cute, etc) so clearly there is very few, if any, people who everyone would agree that they aren't all that
- +1 y
Thanks bro, it's all subjective, to someone you'll be the best while to others you might be the worst, since there's so many People, it's hard to know which has the highest count lol
+1 yI've heard every from I'm below 1/10 to I look like a movie star. I'd say I'm a solid 2/10. Avarage would be great.
