If a girl/guy texts or tells you "I really like you", would you feel they are asking for commitment of some sort?

"I really like you" isn't asking for commitment. Although, depending on the context, it could indicate a desire to have a closer relationship.

I've told girls "I really like you" after a first date if we hit it off. It meant that I liked them and wanted to continue dating them. I might even be interested in engaging in an exclusive, boyfriend-girlfriend relationship.

I never dated more than one girl at the same time. I think that would be disrespectful. I always gave her my exclusive attention unless things seemed like they weren't working out.

In my history, i wouldn't. Every one can like me. However, those who really like me stay more than 3 weeks or 3 months.

But what if they said it like a confession? "I really like you and genuinly feel a connection" something like that after going on date.

Same result. I've had many... MANY who said something like that and if it hits off, sweeet. But later in time, that connection is going... going... gone. :/
