I need advice about expressing my feelings to a guy?

I am quite fond of this guy and I want to let him know that I like him. How do I go about expressing my feelings? I heard a rumor that he might have feelings for me too, but I haven't actually asked him about it.

Here's what I would do:

First, don't just blurt it out right away. Ease into the conversation casually. Next time you're hanging out just the two of you, ask how he's been feeling lately. Give him an opening to share if he wants.
