When I was 18 a 26 year old guy would lead me on and act interested and I felt like a 12 year old dating a 50 year old cause due to overly controlling parents and abusive ones, I was very very very immature for my age when I was 18 and had the maturity of a young teenager. And he was very mature cause he had grown up with the very religious parents and socialized with the very elite among religious people. It was a disaster. When he rejected me after learning about my issues, I could not cope and was miserable for a full 8 months. Later, I discarded him like he was a mosquito and a total stranger to me. God fixed my heart.

I'm 29 years old and I'd happily date a suitable attractive woman who I got along with who was 20-29 years old. I wouldn't want to date a woman who's older than me. I'll be 30 this year lol, so I'm not a guy chasing older women. Anyways. The older you get, the less age matters. If you want a SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE age gap, use the half your age plus 7 rule. Always start with the older person in the equation. So that means, if he's 28, then divide by 2 is 14. 14 + 7 is 21. So that would be a SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE age range for him. Google "Half your age plus seven rule"

I don’t think he cares if it is socially acceptable age gap, but some people for example if they knew that the other person is younger, they wouldn’t even take him seriously

You are past 18 years old. It's your choice at this point. If you're attracted to him and he's attracted to you, I see no issue. The age of consent in Brazil is 14 years old. People here would say that's disgusting but it's a matter of perspective. Too many sheep in the world. As long as there's mutual attraction and consent, you're good to go.
