You know what man, you really hit the nail on the head with this one. It really bugs me how so many people seem to have such warped views of what's actually average versus above or below average. Like you said, just cause something isn't the absolute max doesn't mean it's bad, but a lot of folks act like anything less than perfect is total trash.

It's crazy how common it is for girls especially to insult guys by calling them short even if they're like right on the average height. Depends on the country. Whatever the average is, two standard deviations above that. If the median is 5.79 inches, then 7.5 in and up would be big, but if it was 5.28 in, then 6.5 in and up would be big.
