She didn't want to be with me but also didn't want me to be with anyone else

Not likely, they aren't in the same state, and I'm home most of the time. The odds of them visiting a store in my state at the same time that I have to go to said store, is so small that it might as well be impossible, and if it did happen, no conversation would occur, I'd just ignore them buy what I wanted, and leave.
