If a guy is calling more in the early stages of dating does that mean he is getting more serious?

Ever since the day I met this guy 2.5 months ago we have texted every single day. In the last month he has started calling randomly during the day and at nights to communicate too. Communication has picked up with texting, sharing funny memes and now calls. Does this mean he is getting more serious if communication is getting more intense? We have established also that neither of us are seeing or talking to other people.

Yeah, I'd say it's a good sign that he's getting more serious if he's starting to call you more often now in addition to all the daily texting. A few reasons why:
