Am I overthinking it if a guy who says he is romantically interested in me says “what’s up” when he calls me?

Its an American expression which I personally dislike , but it means " Whats happening " or " Whats going on " ..

I always answer " nothings up thanks "

Well , personally I would do it , but is it any different from saying
' Hey , how are you doing babe? "

That’s just the way men talk. I think people in general talk like that too. You have to stop thinking like a female. I know easier said than done but the problem that most women make is that they assume because they think or act a certain way that men should be acting or thinking the same way. We don’t.
