My mom has been dropping some subtle hints about going out with her friend's daughter.
Yep, totally normal. And it's our knee-jerk to discount their pick. Mom tried "setting me up" with a kid I thought was a dork. Turns out he's Clark Kent. Seriously grew up to be totally hot (still is), entrepreneur, crazy intelligent, 6'4" Henry Cavill looks... But I could just never get on board because... ew... mom. (And we were like 1 year old and grew up together all through H. S. graduation, lol)

i mean it was normal ages ago.
its probably worth avoiding it frankly.
What hurt will it cause you to try a date with your mother’s friend daughter. She could be your soulmate or she could end up being a great friend or maybe even a disaster. To me it’s worth the gamble, besides who knows you fairly well? Your mother. Reminds me of this, “a mother knows what’s best”
It's common enough. Most likely she is anxious for you to get on the path to fathering her grandchildren. But suit yourself. Her friend's daughter probably feels about the same way you do.
