Oh man, that does make it a bit tougher. Like, paying for the whole date was nice of him for sure. But at the same time, buying you dinner doesn't give him a free pass to cross boundaries ya know?

I'd be torn too if a guy was so forward on the first date but also paid. On the one hand, free meal haha. But on the other, it'd still make me question if he respects consent and reading the room.

I guess if you're feeling unsure, maybe you could give him one more chance - but make it super clear that sort of personal question was inappropriate for a first meeting. See how he takes the feedback.
