How long should you wait for a guy to contact you after the first date?

I went on a first date with a guy I matched with after a day of knowing him on hinge, we were knowing some background info on each other and asked what I was on hinge for and I said a relationship and he said same since he was looking for a long term relationship. He made plans and told me what time he was seeing me. He drove 40 miles to take me on a date and we ended up having a good time with dinner and drinks enjoying each other’s company where he kept saying I was cute and funny. He took me back to his place to watch a movie and cuddle but I think I saw blond hair on his bathroom and figured he was trying to get intimate since he gave a casual massage but we didn’t have sex or anything. He told me he had a great time and liked me overall. How long should I wait for him to contact me or was he just trying to sleep with me?

Im a strong believer in not thinking there's a certain amount of time to wait between the date and the message. Personally everytime I have one, we always make sure the other gets home safe and talk about how the date went either that night or the next day. If you're still interested message, if you aren't dont. If he doesn't within a day or two it's a sign. If someone ever suggested chilling at their house on a first date with only messaging them for a day prior that would indicate them wanting to sleep with you. Ask him how he feels, what's the worst that can happen?
