How long should I wait until a guy I'm seeing initiates the next date?

I went on a 5-day trip and came back home yesterday. The guy I'm seeing was also busy with his family visiting him while I was away. We texted each other from time to time (not everyday) and had one FaceTime.

A day before my flight back home, he said that he missed me. I told him I would be flying back next day so we would be able to see each other soon. But he hasn't made any plans to go on a date even though he knows I'm back from the trip.

He generally responds to my texts quickly so I can check in on him, but I want him to take the lead especially because we are still at the early stage of dating.

It's been a few days since my return. How long should I want for him to initiate the next date before I move on?

He is ghosting you or his family has his time.

If he was really into you he would call or text! Even when on the toilet hidding in the bathroom!

Right.. I actually found out that he is on a trip which I wasn't aware of. Well, at this point, I don't keep my expectation high and I will let him alone.
