My ex and I knew eachother for months and became friends really fast. We started dating afterwards and fell in love. I talked to him last Wednesday and he said he loved me and everything was normal, then I saw him the next day and we had sex for the first time. I didn’t see him again until Saturday and I knew something was off. He eventually came up to me and said we needed to talk and said “I don’t think we’re a good fit, I’m sorry”. I was in shock so I just said okay and hugged him cause he said he felt bad considering we had just had sex two days prior.
Background: He’s white and I’m black (I’m his first black girlfriend). His mom has grounded him every other day since he’s been with me for no reason other than talking to me all night. She even went through his phone while he was sleep and looked through our messages before and recently did it again and unadded me on Snapchat from HIS phone on Thursday. She also put parental controls on his phone and locked every app on his phone while only allowing him to call/text his immediate family and no one else.
When we broke up, we worked together for a couple hours before he clocked out and any time I laughed, smiled, or danced, I would catch him staring at me or smiling at me. Only a few people at our job knew we were dating and knew about the break up and they told me that even if he wasn’t facing my direction, he knew when I was around or walked away from an area. They all said that it’s strange that he broke up with me because whenever my name was brought up, when I wasn’t there, he would start smiling and his face would light up.
They keep saying his mom might’ve influenced him in some way, but I think that he just realized that I was the reason he was grounded all the time and decided that this isn’t what he want. I also think that he lost feelings for me and I should accept it.
can someone explain this to me or tell what they think about it cause I’ve been confused since it happened.
