Up to now, my dating profile has only had selfies (photos taken by myself). I would say they are high-quality selfies, including face/body, smile-with-teeth/other, etc.
I do not like having my picture taken. I have nobody in my life that could help me do a photoshoot, so I've considered hiring a photographer. However, I am unsure if it would turn out well. I would need someone who I could trust with the whole situation, and basically need them to make sure the photos were sexy (for lack of a better word).

What Girls Said
Any pictures on a dating profiles, regardless whether selfies or gender related are deal breakers for me. To me, that indicates that the person is actually only interested in fornicating because we all know why people go on those sites.
Every single of those numerous dating sites are actually places where people look for someone to copulate with. They are not really interested in, say a 20+ years long term relationship.
If a person tells me that they have profiles on dating sites, they are automatically categorized in people that are seeking to hook up and are not interested in anything serious and long term. I usually avoid those people because I am not interested in that kind of relationship.
Good answer!
I am actually looking for something serious on the dating apps though. Currently have them deleted, but feel like I have no choice but to try again. I haven't had any luck meeting a girl in person.
I wish it could be organic like you described. I feel like a dating app is the only way I'll meet someone.
If I met the right girl and had a 20 year relationship, that would be amazing. However, let's say I were to die in a car crash sometime this year; I would have regret that I didn't take a "casual" engagement and that I held out for compatibility (which I'm not sure I'll ever truly find).
Instead of seeking what you want on dating sites, why not join a club or take up a hobby where you can find people sharing the same interests as you. Not only are they door openers but you have at least a pool of people that know what you like and it makes connections much easier.
I've looked, including just recently on meetup. com, but I cannot find anything.
My life is basically work, sleep, personal upkeep, and solo hobbies (ex: reading, YouTube, video games). Me taking pictures of myself at home is the most transparent I can be lol, but I want better results, and if there is a female standard, I need to fake it until I make it.
Everyone says not to cold approach at the gym or grocery store, and those are pretty much the only places I go regularly.
A man that uses a dating app would be a dealbreaker.
How do you date then? A lot of people use dating apps; if one excludes those in happy relationships, I'd say the majority use dating apps. Why would you exclude a man automatically just because he is using a dating app and trying to find happiness?
just get a friend who is good at taking pics n have em take u pics
I don't have any true friends, and even for guys who do, having one that is skilled/non-judgmental for this sort of thing is not a given. Girls have this easier.
