I am depressed because I don't think anybody will ever love me if theey find out? How do I even break it to them? Should I sue the person who gave it to me, purposely, however I don't have enough proof

Aw that really sucks what happened with that guy. But honestly, if he's not understanding about something like herpes then he's not really the right person for you anyway.

As for telling future partners, I'd say just be straight up about it early on before things get serious. Explain how common it is (like over half the population has some form of herpes) and that with medication and protection the risk of transmission is very low. Anyone worth your time will accept you for who you are.

Don't lose hope - I've heard of plenty of people dating and even marrying while positive. As for suing the past person, probably not worth the stress unless you really think you have a strong case. Focus on self love and your health instead of dwelling on them.

Mostly wanna say, don't feel alone or unlovable. This does NOT define you. With the right person by your side who sees your beautiful soul, something like herpes won't matter at all. You'll get through this and come out even stronger. Keep your chin up, you've got this!

I hear where you're coming from, and it's totally normal to feel doubtful after going through something like that. Rejection always hurts.

But try not to write everyone off before you even give them a chance, you know? At the end of the day, it's about finding someone who sees you for who you are, not some dumb stigma.

If the right person came along, really cared about you, do you think a few pills a day would change that? Probably not. They'd just be happy they get to be with you.

It might take some time, but there are definitely people out there who won't define you by one part of your medical history. You just gotta trust that when the time is right, someone caring will come along and it won't even matter to them.

Maybe meet new guys through friends first so you get to know them before revealing things. Gotta find someone secure enough in themselves not to feel threatened, you feel me?

Don't give up hope yet. You're still young - there's so much life ahead of you to find happiness. Keep your head high and keep putting yourself out there. You got this, I promise!
