Girls, Would you say yes to the shy guy?

So I'm a shy guy and I know I need to work on confidence, that confidence is key, I get that I really do. So my question is if I gained the courage to come ask you out but you can tell I'm nervous as heck and scared out of my mind but I'm asking you, would I have a shot? I know I can gain that courage but I'm not sure I will ever get ride of those obvious nerves. I just know from the couple times I did build up the courage I have been shot down every time. For the girls that are taken just to assume you are single for a moment and shy guys who got lucky feel free to share.

How come everyone that has answered they would not go out with a shy guy been rude and mean about it. If you don't like shy guys that's fine just be nice. Shyness does not equal weak or timid I'm not afraid to defend myself.

Yes, definitely. There’s a possibility or a chance for that shot. The fact that you have the courage to do that makes me respect you if I were that girl. Cuz as a shy girl too lol, I rarely talk to guys.. I only hang out with the girls so if a shy guy ever asks me out, I’d say yes and maybe get to know you more if only my parents aren’t strict lol (my own take) you’re strong for that:) keep on going!

Lol thanks, I'm not the best at approaching sadly I'm still working on it. But honestly if I noticed you were shy too that would increase my chances of approaching you. For me it's too bad you are so much younger. I'm sure one day a guy will notice you and be able to handle your sticked parents.

Of course not because shy guys are inferior. They are not inferior because they are shy. They are shy and lack confidence because they are inferior.

Bobby Fisher was confident because he always won. A 5 star basketball play is confident because he always wins.

Did you ever attempt to walkon and earn a college football scholarship. Of you didn't because you knew you zero chance. Even if you could have had confidence, would you have selected? Of course you would not have been. Confidence would have been worthless because you lacked the talent to be selected.

However, even in grade school, boys that later become 5 star basketball players are full of confidence because in any game, they are always the best player. They were never the best player because they had confidence. Confidence would have been worthless, it they had no talent. They had confidence because they were always the best.

I maybe shy but not shy enough to not stand up to myself. I am not inferior by any means. I'm not one of those jerks lots of girls pick and then later regret. I have been told many times by girls that got to know later through a boyfriend, work or a common friend that I was a great guy that they would have gone out with if they were not already taken. I even had one that apologized because she did refuse to give me a shot and later got to know me through a mutual friend and regretted not giving me the shot. And on your sports example there are actual people who didn't think they were good but were pushed into because someone recognized their skill and they gained that confidence later.

I'm timid to start a conversation not to answer. If you actually had the patience I open up quicker than you think then I'm very talkative. If you only said you didn't have the patience I would have been ok with that but calling me a mofo is rude. Shyness does not equal timid or weak.
