Would a shy guy string you along?

Would a shy guy who seemed to like you before, was always nervous around you and stare at you when you wern't looking now all of a sudden stop liking you, but still string you along because he knows you like him?

He stopped being that shy, has now started winking and starting conversations in class but he barely replies if I try talking on Skype.

Is he over me but likes the attention so keeps flirting when he sees me?

He saw me with a guy friend a few days ago, when at a club and he just stood there staring at us, my guy friend even saw him and thought it was weird.

Does he just like the attention he usually gets from me and is stringing me along?

he probably does. I'm a shy guy as well, and every time I leave my comfort zone & ask a girl out, I get bit. and it just pushes me farther back into the quiet zone. if you were with a guy friend, he was probably thinking you & him were seeing eathother, or went together, etc. if I was him, I would have gone & said hi, and probably done the exact same thing after. If you like him that much, what's stopping you from asking him out? you would have no idea how much it would mean to him, or any guy for that matter.

I don't wanna ask him out if he's not interested anymore and just doing this for attention, since we're in the same classes would suck tohave to face him after.

And I get quiet around him, I have conversations with his friends but with him my mind goes blank.

My guy friend gestured to him to come over but we walked away.

But what do you mean "he prob does", you think he's not interested anymore just likes the attention?
