i was 17 when i slept with my friends' ex boyfriend and then called her on the phone to confess it to her but she seems to be angry about it to this day. i really need help because my ex best friend also dated the same guy for two years after all of these. any suggestions on how to handle something like this? this was back in 2018.
My best friend ditched me for a LOT less than that! She was 18, at the time. We were like brother & sister and trusted each other implicitly, or so I thought. We'd been naked in front of each other before and absolutely nothing happened between us.
Well, I went to her house to visit her but she wasn't home. So, I just decided to sit on her porch and wait for her to come home. I had no idea that she was planning to spend the weekend with her new boyfriend. I waited there at least 9 or 10 hours, partly because I forgot that I didn't bring bus fare to get back home! So, I needed her to come home and lend me $2.00 to get back home. Finally, around 10 at night, I decided to go around back and climb into her back window to call up her boyfriend to ask if he or she could come loan me the money. I had to pee really bad, too and was starving but, the only thing I took was 2 cookies and I washed her dishes for her to pay for them. When she got to the house and found out I was inside waiting for her just lying on the couch, she got livid and broke off our friendship!! She refused to discuss any of that night with me or let me explain!
A few weeks later, at school, we ended up having an art class together but, I tried not to have anything to do with her in the class because I didn't want her getting more pissed at me. Another couple weeks later was her 19th b-day so, I bought her a cake and a present and gave her a surprise party, of sorts, in the art office where we usually hung out between classes. Even though she was kinda thrilled about what I did for her that day, we still never talked the rest of the time we were in college together.
About 2 years later, my band was playing a gig in Oberlin right off campus at the college there. She and her boyfriend were taking classes there! They both showed up at the gig and, after the show, her boyfriend told me that she insisted that they both go see my band! So, basically, things got patched up between us. But, we haven't seen or talked to each other since that night.
Anyway, maybe it just takes a random act of kindness or love to win her friendship back.
You're a young lady. Young people make mistakes and don't remain friends forever. I am not friends with any of my highschool mates. My suggestion is to live your life and move on. You're going to make new friends
