How do I overcome my ickyness over a bald man?

It's not that I alwaus judged men for being bald! My first true love was a bald man. I was 19 and he was 31. We were together 12 years and married. HOWever because of that failed relationship I now feel icky at the idea of getting with someone bald due to the associations. Same as if someone has same name as one of my bad exes. I am talking to this guy on dating app. We have lots in common, the conversation is flowing, we both seem to be enjoying talking to eachother. I am starting to like him. But then I realised all his pictures cover his head and in one (under his cap) there is no hairline. So he could be bald! It's a bit of a dealbreaker. But such a shame if he's a great guy. And I know I am being superficial but I don't know how to get that ICK feeling away thinking about being with someone bald!

I understand it can be tough when past experiences color our perceptions. But try not to write this guy off just because of his hair (or lack thereof). Some things to keep in mind:

- Baldness says nothing about his character or how he'll treat you. Focus on the connection you've built so far.

- Our tastes can change over time. Give yourself a chance to get to know him without preconceived notions before making a call.

- If it really bothers you, be honest but also keep an open mind. Tell him you're dealing with icks from the past but want to move past them.

- Attraction is complex. See if his other qualities help you feel more comfortable. Sparks aren't always instant.

- Consider he may feel self-conscious too. Your acceptance could boost his confidence in who he is.

Going bald wasn't this guy's choice either. Give him a fair shot at making a good impression beyond first appearances. You may pleasantly surprise yourself. Worth a shot, no?

Oh I got it sorry read the question wrong. Well if the new guy is like the complete opposite of ur ex (ie he cares for u blah blah blah etc) then think of the stuff that he’s better at than ur ex. Haha sorry

Yeah that's a good answer. So i should just keep getting to know him and see if I like him more and more personality wise? But it's the ICK! It's not just like "oh I don't fancy you". It's an actually sick feeling that makes me physically want to cringe...
