I don’t like bald men, I always find them unattractive. My husband has receding hairline for a while but now he is seriously balding. Is hair transplant the only way? Any advice to talk about him and convince him to hair transplant?

How could you NOT know BEFORE you got married that he was going to go bald? This is a hereditary thing and your father-in-law was most likely bald before you got married, so you must have realized this.
======
Look. You got married. For better, for worse; for richer, for poorer; in sickness and in health. This means you stick with your partner. Baldness is not exactly a sickness and it may no longer make you feel attracted to him, but it is what it is.
Believe me, you are not exactly going to be a piece of ass to him either as you get older.
Do you want him asking this question here at some point in the future:
I'm not attracted to flat-chested women or fake boobs and my wife had a double-mastectomy?
What do you want him to do? Do you want him to stop loving you and get a divorce or a separation just because your two girlfriends left the party?
======
I am sorry if this is coming across as judging or beating up on you. Your question is legitimate, but, at the same time, it indicates to me a certain level of immaturity about marriage and aging.
We are all going to get old and not look as hot as we did when young. We all should know this and realize it going into a marriage because being married is a lot more than dating and fucking.

You could get him something like Castor oil, Fenugreek for hair, 100% real rosemary essential oil is wonderful for hair thickening and growth. All of these things I'm sharing are. Rice water, Coconut oil, Avocado hair mask, Jojoba oil, pumpkin seed oil, and then too, he could take some supplements. These are all different things, I have tried, and they work! They're Al's natural which is nice. He could also maybe change his diet a bit if he doesn't eat many eggs, greens, protein things like that. Eating fish is really good for hair growth.

I have been using Castor oil as well as rosemary, and fenugreek on my hair. And on my eyebrows, hair and eyelashes and it has made the hair there much thicker, as well as made hair grow in areas that didn't really have hair.

If he's your age that's completely normal. I doubt you're attracted to 80 year old guys either but God willing one day you guys will reach to that age too. Hate to say it but you kind of knew these things would happen sooner or later and you made vows to love him besides all these superficialities. If he doesn't want to get a hair transplant that's his choice, you can't force him. He's not letting himself go or anything. Balding is not the same thing as eating fast food and becoming fat or not caring about your hygiene.

1 yOn all kinds of "male" oriented cable TV channels (American Heroes Channel, nee The Military Channel, comes to mind) there will be a constant stream of various hair restoration services, Bosley is one company that comes to mind, as does/did The Hair Club for Men. (They also take female clients who are suffering from thinning hair up top, so these companies are by no means male specific, although the adverts on "male" channels tend to be obviously aimed at men).
A female esthetician friend of mine observes the interesting 21st century phenomenon of men (and even more so, women) who are trying to get hair to grow more and thicker on the scalp, yet at the same time are trying to get it lasered away in a host of other places! Is life unfair or what?
Now these treatments are a pretty penny in terms of cost, so you would be wise to offer to ration or do without some luxuries of yours if he raises the financial objections.

There are some pricey shampoos he can try that actually work , a friend of mine is using one now and next time I talk to him , will ask him the name , of it , I know it’s like 50 bucks a bottle but it works , his hair is growing back from using it , All I know it’s a white bottle with I think red lettering on it , I will find out and let ya know

@Finchie40 Is that Simfort? It does help some, but not as much as many who try it would hope.
Thanks!
He should speak to his doctor about his options. Meanwhile, if you're making him feel all apprehensive about losing his hair perhaps remember that you're supposed to love him regardless of his hair status...
30 ReplyYeah that’s called natural aging. Something that both of you are going to have to accept about each other since both of you are close to 50 years old. How would you feel if your husband said he wasn’t attracted to your aging transformation?
00 ReplyIt can be hard when your partner’s appearance changes in a way you don’t find attractive. If you want to help him keep his hair, suggest some natural options like using oils for scalp massages or hair-thickening shampoos and conditioners. There are also hairstyles that can make thinning hair less noticeable. When you talk to him, be gentle and focus on how much you care about him. You could say, "I noticed your hair is thinning, and I know it might be bothering you. Would you consider looking into ways to keep it?" If he’s open to it, offer your support and see where it goes.

1 yI have found very few bald men attractive. Like he’d have to be 95-100% everything else I want on paper for me to consider. Now in your case, you married him while he had hair and then he started balding. I’m not going to leave anyone who later starts balding. I just dont want them bald from the get go. Have your man try manweave lol

1 yI don't know if implants would really work. I am not falling for all those ads which claim it works, or other products/ procedures... to me it feels like a scam.
It looks like it is not your husband who has an issue with his receding hairline... it is you; the sad thing is that you can't demand anything from him; you can suggest , of course, but not demand.
My advise would simply be to accept that when men become old there is the chance baldness sets in.
Embrace the baldness... A bad day with a Bald Head is still 10x better than a good day with a Man-Bun!
I've been shaving my head bald for +/- 26 years now!06 Reply- 1 y
How do you think Elon Musk did it? Hairplants do work. There are plenty of proven studies on it.
Creams and stuff you ingest are what don't work - 1 y
@HawkPerception Every always comes down to money. How much a person is willing to pay for something.
Elon Musk has plenty of money and can thus look for a very expensive 'treatment' which may have some effect. It still heavily depends on a personal genetics and all whether it has some chance of succeeding.
There are also many examples of men who have tried going through some form of 'treatment' and the result was just ugly. - 1 y
The average cost is $6000 to $12000. But it can be anywhere from $3000 to more than $15000.
You're correct in saying it comes down to how much someone is willing to pay, because that's a large sum of money. It's about how much you value the aesthetic of your hair. - 1 y
@HawkPerception I really don't understand why some men try to retain the little bit of hair they have left while it just looks... meh (can't really say ugly, some men still look good).
There is nothing wrong with being Bald (I of course choose to be Bald, so maybe that's why I don't see any issues with it) - 1 y
There isn't anything wrong with being bald.
By the time you turn 30, you have a 25% chance of displaying some balding. By age 50, 50% of men have at least some noticeable hair loss. By age 60, about two-thirds are either bald or have a balding pattern. While hair loss is more common as you get older, it doesn't necessarily make it any easier to accept.
- 1 y
@HawkPerception "it doesn't necessarily make it any easier to accept."
That is of course very true
He’s aging, as are you. I’m a little confused, did you not expect him to lose hair while he aged?
You want to talk to your husband into getting cosmetic plastic surgery to combat his aging so you’ll continue to be attracted to him…
I’m sorry I can’t give a proper answer to your question.
50 ReplyOffer to try using oils like castor oil or coconut oil—they’re both known for helping with hair growth and keeping the scalp healthy. You can warm up the oil slightly and massage it into your scalp gently with your fingertips for about 5-10 minutes. This can help increase blood circulation to the scalp, which might stimulate the hair follicles. Do this a couple of times a week. Also, adding a few drops of essential oils like rosemary or peppermint oil to your base oil can boost hair growth since they have properties that help with hair strength. Remember, consistency is key, and results might take some time, so be patient and keep up with a healthy hair care routine.

m 1 yAssuming this is genuine, how long have you been married?
what will you do when he says he’s not keep on your menopause, saggy boobs etc?
when you both hit 60’s it will be a nightmare, all that wrinkly skin. Why marry someone if you cannot live with them as they age, just remain single with random dating.
20 ReplySince you used the word "convince", I'm assuming you already brought this up to him and he doesn't care at all if he balds. So you either stay with the man you married for love hopefully or divorce him if it really means that much to you. You can't force anyone to change anything about themselves just for your own selfish reasons. Its just hair. This is why people shouldn't marry someone based on looks, we all age and change.
10 ReplyYou married him. Most men lose hair because of testosterone. I'm sure you're not as attractive as you were either but he's not going to hold it against you. You can talk about it with him in a respectful way but it seems like you have a attitude issue. You should think about what kind of person you want to be before reacting to things with your most basic instincts.
10 ReplyIt's tough when something like this changes in your relationship. If you're really not into the bald look, maybe start by gently talking to him about how he feels about his hair loss. You could mention options like hair thickening shampoos, or treatments which might help slow it down. If he's open to it, then yeah, bring up the idea of a hair transplant. But try to be supportive and understanding – he might be feeling self-conscious about it already.

1 yI would see a counselor about this honestly. Sure he could try any of many different options, including hrt like Elon musk did, but bottom line if him going bald would be a deal-breaker that's something you need to reflect on. Maybe this relationship isn't what you think it is.

1 yHow shallow are you? You know that as you age your boobs and butt are gonna sag, and your face is going to get wrinkly.
Initial physical attraction is for selecting a man before you know them. If you're bonded with him and you two are married, you should be way past this kind of thing.00 Reply
1 yWow. Maybe if your husband has any self respect he should leave you for not loving who he is. Seriously if him losing his hairline is all that’s needed for you to lose interest then by your logic he is allowed to feel unattracted to you for having face wrinkles.

1 yHe’s not just a bald-headed man. Consider all of the other things about him that you are attracted to. His smile, his eyes, his hands…
I know that personal preferences can’t be changed but don’t lose sight of what you have with him because of this. I think you’ll be hard pressed to find a man (or woman) that doesn’t experience hair thinning over time.00 Reply
1 yMy amazing wife says, "The dumb hairs are leaving the smart head." And the late radio Dr. Carleton Fredericks said, if a man has hair on his head, he has an immature scalp. But when it comes to attractiveness, there's the old saying, "De gustibus non disputandum est.!" Or, there is no accounting for taste. People want what they want.
If I were in your husband's position, I'd try anything.
00 ReplyMy brother tried to use one of the treatments that has been on the market for a long time (can't remember the name) but he said it irritated his scalp so bad he stopped using, but that is the reason for the irritation it stimulates the hair follicles in the scalp.
Hair transplant is pricey and I know several men that tried it and the results were marginal or horrible.
Techniques now are better, and he might try it.

1 yYou’ll be pleased to know, Mrs. Shallow, there are other options besides hair transplant. Finasteride and Minoxidil are known to have pretty good results and every men’s hair treatment company offers them as a treatment for thinning hair. Like everything, modern medical breakthroughs have changed the game. I bet he’s happy you still look the exact same as the day you two were married.
02 Reply- 1 y
Finasteride has some weird sexual side effects. Topical Minoxidil is a lot safer, but less effective.
- 1 y
@DarkWinterNights not everyone reacts the same or has the same side effects. You do realize thinning hair and make pattern baldness are facts of nature the same way women will one day go through menopause, right?
Anonymous(30-35)1 yYou married him and I assume vowed to love him through thick…. And thin. You can’t force him to do anything but you can love him and want him to look his best.
Being married you probably should love one another beyond physical appearance by now. If he can love you rolling out of bed your hairs a mess, no makeup, etc. You can love him balding.

Anonymous(30-35)1 ywhat does it matter? you're getting old too. does he have anything to say about that? this is just what happens when you marry and grow old together. like... since you don't like bald men, are you going to divorce your husband and go for someone younger? and then when he goes bald, you'll repeat? but then you're also getting older so options will be slimmer... i just don't see the thought process here.
00 ReplyHair transplant is basically the only way. There aren’t any topical treatments or anything that actually grow new hair.
Also not that a hair transplant requires taking tufts of hair from the male arse cheeks and surgically plugging them in to the scalp. So if he gets a hair transplant, know that the hair on his head will have originally come from his arse.
It’s either that or bald.

1 yTalk to him about it, ask him if he is bothered by his hair loss if so see if he wants to do something about it.
Just remember almost every man balds eventually so if not him now who later.
Also be considerate you’re probably not as attractive as when you first meet so have some empathy, how would you want him to approach you if you were balding?00 Reply
1 yBe it balding, wrinkles, or grey hairs.. Aging is inevitable. What you both look like now (including you) will not last forever. It's either you accept that & love him for who he is, or divorce.
