Whenever a guy wants to talk about his dating failures and how he has no success with women that he must have a shitty personality or he must not be a good person so people will justify it and say he deserves it. This is part of the just world fallacy. Implying that the universe always rewards good people and always punishes bad people. Are there not toxic and bad men in relationships right now as we speak?
- 1.9K opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 yDude, I know what you mean. It's totally not fair to assume a guy is a bad dude just because he hasn't had much dating luck yet. Like you said, there's definitely toxic people out there in relationships all the time.
A few reasons why some guys might struggle through no fault of their own:
- Looks - Unfortunately looks do matter to a lot of girls at first. If a guy isn't super handsome, it can make things harder even if he's awesome.
- Confidence - Shy or anxious guys have it rough putting themselves out there, even if inside they're cool people. Takes practice to feel comfortable flirting.
- Timing - Sometimes you just haven't met the right girl who's into you yet. Dating involves some luck meeting someone you vibe with.
- Focusing on himself - Could be prioritizing education, hobbies, career over chasing girls 24/7. Nothing wrong with having your shit together first.
- Social circle - Harder if you don't party or do activities where you meet new people regularly. Need opportunities to connect.
So long as a dude isn't an actual creep or jerk, I don't think it's right to assume he "deserves" to be single. Just means he hasn't found his person yet. Don't be too hard on yourself man - your time will come if you keep putting good vibes out there!06 Reply- +1 y
@Oliverlogan263 do you think a man is a creepor a jerk if he tells woman that when they get raped it's their fault?
- +1 y
@LazerBean ever heard of chatgpt?
- +1 y
@LazerBean someone made 100% of his opinions and replies using it without any additional trolling prompts. Guess who it is?
Asker+1 y@LazerBean Rape is not their fault. I was making a point. You won't blame a woman for being raped which i think most normal functioning people wouldn't but you'll blame a guy for being a failure with women. How would you know the guy hadn't tried? How would you know he's a bad person on just that basis alone?

Men will be cruel towards other men for their singleness or 'not having success,' and women also will think something is wrong with him. But remember that women want men to feel bad about themselves, hopeless, and powerless about dating and even sex.

+1 yAs someone who would hesitate to date a guy who's never had a girlfriend, I can confidently say it's not that I would think he's a bad person, I would worry that he just wants to "learn and explore what he likes" rather than "build and provide for our future."
It's a perfectly normal desire to want to explore what you like and experiment with things you've never tried before. It is however, a completely different mindset to know you're ready to be a husband and commit to building that life with someone else.
Imagine flying into a new city/country and committing to never travelling again. Sure, you can be occupied for 1-2 years having fun, getting to know the land, but how many people are ready to start a family there? It's not impossible, but most people don't really think that far when they're just so excited to be somewhere for the first time.10 Reply

Itâs not that he had never had a girlfriend that makes him a failure, itâs the fact that men always blame women for that when in fact typically those men have red flags regardless. I know someone like this and meanwhile he has a girlfriend, the reason why he canât keep women around is because heâs unkept, out of shape, comfortable with an unprogressive job, and because of that he lives with his parents that donât keep their house tidy. Itâs a red flag

Asker+1 yYet there are thugs and men who are fucking losers committing crimes and bouncing from one woman to the other, thriving in the dating world. Piece of shit people can still succeed in life
Asker+1 yJust pointing out the fualty logic people have with good being rewarded and bad being punished
Asker+1 yWomen - the empathetic gender đ
Asker+1 yYou dont feel bad for men at all
Asker+1 yWhich is fine
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 lack of goals is definitely a good reason not to date someone
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 you can be a workaholic and still have an unprogressive job
- +1 y
The job market sucks and some people donât have work experienceâŠI would never date a woman based on her job unless we were actively trying to get married and have kids. Because any woman expecting me to pay for everything is not a woman I want to date. I view relationships as equal partnerships.
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 Iâm aware men have different expectations for women, doesnât mean what I said is any less of a turn off for women
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 in my opinion "I want a man with ambition" is usually code for: "I am a joyless person who wants a man as a vehicle for a lifestyle and I don't know how to not be materialistic."
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 being upset that the shoe fits doesnât change what many women look for. If you wanted kids and I told you I didnât want to care for children, that wouldnât be a red flag?
- +1 y
@Juxtapose or I want a man that can cater to a family. Same applies here, if you want kids and a woman canât provide that, why isnât that a red flag for you?
- +1 y
men who go around committing crimes and women going with them are of the lowest quality ever, why do you think that criticizing such creatures is funny then.
- +1 y
@DarkLegacy personally idc what other women choose to do. Iâm just pointing out why these kind of men donât get picked. Men that donât go out looking for someone to date most likely have their own issues that arenât allowing them to do so
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 Yes you re right this ' high quality' or 'low quality' stinks of neanderthal.
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 maybe arguing my preferences and suggestions says something about yourself? I mean really though , you are trying to argue about things that normal people would suggest is low quality, and then trying to project anything about women going for criminals meanwhile continuing to say low quality women go for criminals. So if those women are so low quality, why do you even care? Projection
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 again that resorts from men having overall different standards. That still doesnât change the FACT that you are literally crying over women you consider low quality to begin with. What did I say again about men rarely looking inward
Asker+1 yCrying is subjective here. You just don't like what's being said so its considered whining to you
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 thatâs weird because thereâs men without those qualities in marriages and relationships. More projection of where you choose to spend your time. You are definitely brain washed by the internet
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 says who? Sounds like you are making up things to cater to an argument that doesnât make sense. If thatâs you in your profile , you are semi attractive so itâs a red flag that you are contributing to this convo. Seems like you arenât looking inward enough
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 being socially awkward usually leads to other issues that make you unreliable for a quality relationship. You are just throwing short in the category to throw off actual issues of yourself once again. Iâm pretty short myself and have dated men 5â6. I donât really see height as an excuse. Thatâs literally a social media standard at best
- +1 y
Iâm slightly neurodivergentâŠso I canât exactly not be socially awkwardâŠitâs not in my control. And I literally havenât gotten any matches on OLD which personality plays no part inâŠthatâs solely looks + heightâŠso clearly most women either care a lot about height or Iâm uglyâŠ
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 working on awkwardness would get you to think dating apps are repulsive to begin with when you actually want to seriously date. Donât shoot the messenger
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 dating apps hold bottom barrel personalitied people there.
- +1 y
Lol Iâve literally met girls at clubs who said they wouldnât be talking to me if I was ugly, yet still rejected me for being short after their friends peer pressured them. I was used for a free night out by a girl who thought she was entitled to only date models when she herself looked like a soccer mom and Iâve gotten girls numbers at bars only for them to ghost me completely. Trust me, in person people ainât any better
Asker+1 yThey don't aim most men way in genenal. Hoeflation is on the rise
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 it's this comment that's unsettling...
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 well don't use dating apps. if Brad Pitt acted awkward he wouldn't be Brad Pitt. he would just be labelled a nerd with good potential at best
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 ask someone to film your interactions with girls and let us watch it. i'm 100% positive that it must be painful to watch and has nothing to do with your height
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 have you ever figured that maybe girls scroll by your account because you present yourself as boring?
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 your face screams " please I need love, I want a woman any woman I love to love" it looks soft and love.. you don't look repulsive.
Asker+1 yNo one is blaming women
Asker+1 y@JHAYES317 There's always the passport option man. a lot of men leave the west to find women in other countries and some of them have success
- +1 y
@kylee2437 Iâm the lead singer of a rock band and an actorâŠI also do extreme sportsâŠif they think Iâm boring then they have a weird perception of what boring is
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 your hobbies donât necessarily make up for what you bring to the table when it comes to dating.
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 because they again are providing something you arenât. Now we have tipped the scale from talking about criminals that get women to rich men that get women.
Asker+1 y@JHAYES317 Just do the passport route. But if you're gonna find a woman in another country, dont bring her back here
- +1 y
@kylee2437 lol so itâs not that Iâm not interestingâŠitâs that Iâm not rich enough lol?
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 if you donât get it now, you never will. Your interests donât account for what kind of entertainment you bring to a relationship
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 actually I donât want a rich guy, I want a guy that can contribute to having a family with me. That takes two financially stable people, yes. And I never said I wanted you âșïž
- +1 y
@JHAYES317 Iâm 26 lol my time to find someone serious has officially started.
- +1 y
@Juxtapose not if they are in a position where their parenting style becomes relatively abusive (people with addictions)
- +1 y
@Juxtapose right however I grew up in a house hold where addiction made it hard for a parent to step up and Iâd rather not repeat that process by allowing someone not in tune with being financially stable to bring that into my life once again.
- +1 y
@Juxtapose thereâs a difference between rich and financially stable. If I meet a guy with a decent but not rich income with the expectation of him being financially stable, that doesnât mean he needs to be rich. Iâm not quite sure where you got me wanting a rich man from.
- +1 y
@Juxtapose but Iâm not talking about wealth, Iâm talking about someoneâs ability to be responsible
- +1 y
@Juxtapose again Iâm talking about responsibility, not wealth
- +1 y
@Juxtapose if a man can still be financially responsible while not having a lot of money, sure. Iâm not dating someone that is poor because they decided that financially instability to keep their habit intact is beneficial. People like that donât deserve life partners

Asker+1 yWomen don't pity men in genenal so im not trying to make women pity men especially in the dating world. But this just world fallacy belief people have is interesting

+1 yThere used to be a lot harsher judgment about this 10+ years ago. However singlehood rates are skyrocketing now. 63% of men 19-30 are reportedly single. I think some people are finally waking up to the fact there are bigger issues beyond what the man can control when it comes to this.
With that said it is true that many people harshly and very cruelly judge men on this vs. single women. Itâs always assumed the man must be single because he lacks something and he deserves it or something. But if a woman is single itâs because sheâs âstrong and independentâ.
If a good looking man is single the judgment can be even more cruel. Like he is âsecretly gayâ or some bullshit.
Anyway there is an old saying that âwhat other people think about you is none of your businessâ. So f*ck what other people think about. And you can also tell them to go f*ck themselves if they judge you otherwise.
You are the CEO of your life. You can choose who you hire and fire when it comes to who you associate with. So donât waste your time associating with people who antagonize you. If you canât get rid of them (e. g. family) then call them out on it and tell them to shut up and mind their own business.
That doesnât mean you should give up on dating and swear women off of course. You still need to look for opportunities. But if you are going to date then date for you and not to impress other people.

+1 yHave people told you this in person or is it something youâve read/seen on the internet? Everything is a red flag on the internet.
Thereâs a guy making a running list of âdo notsâ that he picks up from dating podcasts and on the street interviews and he thousands at this point, including things like: âhaving friendsâ, ânot having friendsâ and dumb stuff like protecting your face from getting hit and using your blinker when driving.
Society is quickly going off the deep end of insanity. If someoneâs going to judge you for something like not prioritizing getting into a relationship in this modern dating scene, then forget about them. Their opinion is just that, an opinion.10 Reply 2.6K opinions shared on Dating topic. Because generally, Chthou95, people understand that peoples choices strongly influence their outcomes. But I doubt you're any more eager than last time to accept responsibility and control over your life.

Asker+1 yIf a girl was raped, then it was her fault
Asker+1 yObviously i don't think that. Most women who get raped aren't at fault. But why can't it also be the case for men who dont anywhere in the dating world? Why do men who fail in the dating world deserve it?
- +1 y
No, it's not obvious. From what I've seen, it seems like a pretty common thing for men with your complaints to genuinely believe that. Hopefully I'm wrong about that though.
It's not just a man, anyone who fails at dating is generally responsible for their failure. Here's an example. I had a close friend who was a failure at dating. Attractive, great personality, conservative, pretty much everything a conservative man would want. But she just did one thing that 100% thwarted her success. That was, when she was in her early twenties she didn't feel ready to date, and when she got into her mid twenties she was no longer getting out enough to meet people to date. Obvious solution: get out more or try on light dating. Myself and a bunch of people gave her that advice for years, and she never took it. Then one day she gets desperate and decides to take everyone's advice, and you know what? She found an amazing guy within a month and they are still together and will probably be getting married this year.
Every single case I know of someone who can't get a date, there is at least one really obvious problem with them that is screwing them up. And most of them absolutely will not take any advice, but TBH all those problems are something that anyone with half a whole cell would be able to figure out themselves if they really wanted to. And that's their fault.
Asker+1 yWomen don't want men on their level though. Women date up, not down. And then there's Hoeflation. Men have to work 10Ă harder than their grandfathers for women who are 20Ă than their grandmothers
Asker+1 yI don't believe most rape victims are responsible for their outcome. Nor do i believe that a lot of men are responsible for their outcome in the dating world. Some men really do just get unlucky in the dating world and a lot of them try but still fail. Besides death and taxes, there are no guarantees in life. Love and relationships are not a gurantee for everyone. If you think that everyone has an equal chance, you've been watching too many Disney movies
Asker+1 yHow do i fit your description? Are you a therapists trying to diciper a random person's characteristics online?

@kylee2437 Effort doesn't do any good if you are not lucky enough to be born with what it takes. You should stop living in a fantasy world. That is the only advise I will give you.
Asker+1 y@kylee2437 You're really delusional if you dont think luck plays a factor. Especially in the dating world
- +1 y
Asker+1 y@kylee2437 Divorce rates aren't doing too good. The small minority who are doing well got lucky. And its mostly the older people who have succesful marriages
- +1 y
@asker we arenât talking about failed relationships, we are talking about successful relationships. Failed relationships are from people that stopping trying and putting in effort. Itâs such a selfish mindset to say anything besides the lottery from luck. If you feel regular life things are from luck, you definitely need to look inward.
Asker+1 y@kylee2437 You dont believe luck plays a factor in life? You really think we control everything that happens? You believe that everything is just in life?
- +1 y
@asker yeah no. If a relationship between two people involves luck, then one of us is secretly a magician or something. Relationships involves two people putting effort for each other. Once of them stops putting in effort, thatâs when relationships start going to shit.
The biggest way to accomplish absolutely nothing in life is sitting there wishing things would just happen
Asker+1 y@kylee2437 You can put in a lot of effort and still fail. There are no guarantees
- +1 y
@Asker, Early on I realized that facts don't matter to @kylee2437. She just wants to win an argument. According to her, if he puts up enough effort, a guy born with Downs Syndrome can win a beautiful girlfriend over a lucky guy that inherits the looks and intelligence of his rich movie star parents. It is a waste of time to argue with such people.
Asker+1 y@kylee2437 If i train hard enough in boxing, i can beat Mike Tyson in a ring
Asker+1 y@kylee2437 You seriously think that with enough boxing traning i could beat Mike tyson?đđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđ
Asker+1 y@kylee2437 This is very delusional. This isn't even being realistic at this point. You're arguing in bad faith now
Asker+1 y@kylee2437 Nobody on this site can beat Mike tyson. No matter how hard they train. You get punched by him, will put you in either the hospital or you'll die

@kylee2437 OMG what an argument that goes from one to the next, let us settle down to what you originally complained about which is that most women under 40 are just shitty people. @Kelley1 is prove of that.
