This is me speaking very generally of course as not everyone has the same standards when it comes to attraction, but have you ever observed or been involved in a situation where something awful happens, or continues to happen, simply because the basis of the problem lies in physical looks? I'm sure you have.
Example:
Know that one friend who keeps getting taken advantage of simply because they keep falling for a handsome / pretty face?
Or that one REALLY intelligent and kind person who just never struck it lucky in romance simply because they were born too short or always struggled with their weight? I see that a lot here on this website actually.
Life is obviously not fair, but I was just wondering if anyone else on here has ever just sat down, took a look around and ever wondered from time to time how much better things would be if more people were attracted to characteristics that had more substantiality.

Nope don’t agree, as the Anon says that’s not how real life works. Mentioning gag as a source makes it even worse. Social media is not real life.
That's fine, we can cut social media out and toss it away, probably should have to begin with. This happens more often enough in real life anyway it seems.
With that said, really? Ever cross your mind when you were talking with a really great lonely friend or anything like that?
More of a realist I take it?
Friends look after each other, so how can a friend be lonely? The idea is to help and support each other, that includes supporting them with often hard truths.
Hah, ROMANTICALLY lonely :P
Can definitely agree with you on the hard truths part
Again romantically lonely, you help them score, help them meet someone who is more realistic
Always good to see someone who is willing to be a good wingman
That’s what friends do for each other.
That's not how it works.
Well, yeah. That we already knew. I'm guessing you were more implying that there's no point to thinking about things out of the scope of reality? If that's the case then yeah, you're probably right :\
You get what you think about.
Hah, ain't that the truth.
It is scary, because I think about things I don't need.
Well, when kept to realistic expectations, I wouldn't say that's a bad thing. Idealism IS the catalyst for improvement after all.
Don't go chasing waterfalls.
