Should I date if I have low self esteem?

Although I've always been an excellent student, I earn minimum wage after graduation. I can't have relationships with girls anymore because if they like me, I think there is something wrong with them. Why would they choose me if I'm so low in my life? There must be something wrong with them since they want me and not more successful guys. So I start to ghost them or I don't show interest anymore. I'm too afraid to date girls I perceive as "high value" because I think that with all the options they have, I'm not good enough for them. Friends tell me that I am great in many ways and that a relationship could make me feel better about myself, but I'm afraid that my anxiety and depression will stand in the way. I can't trust girls because of how unsuccessful I feel. I don't blame them. They have the right to mate with the best males.
