Are ugly people hypocrites for having physical standards with romantic relationships?

I wouldn't say so. Don't have to seek partners with identical qualities. Everyone's entitled to their own preferences.

That said, when I encounter, for example, a guy who has never had a girlfriend with very few friends, little in the way of social skills, low confidence, no career, has antagonistic views towards women, dwells in misery and resentment, and then shows me pictures of celebrities with millions of followers as indicative of his physical standards for a date while emphasizing that they need to have hourglass figures (already less than 10% of the population just with the hourglass requirement) while having an amazing personality and so forth, I think they need to get real!

For their own sake, you know, not for anyone else's since they're working very close towards 0% probability of success with such standards unless they invest in a massive dose of self-improvement.

One of the very unfortunate things I find is that it's typically those who are the least successful at dating and relationships who often have the absolute highest standards. I suspect because they have so little interaction with real men and women, they get most of their extremely high standards from the media.

So I often want to shake these very unsuccessful people in the dating game, like very unsuccessful guys with very high standards, and tell them that there's really not much difference physically between a top model and an ordinary woman when the clothes come off, when the hair comes down, when the make-up is off. The top model's farts aren't going to smell like roses.

But it usually takes a bit of experience to deeply appreciate that for many people, unfortunately, and start developing standards and ideas of beauty which align with the people around them and not the media. Yet that's one of the best things someone can do regardless of how good or bad-looking they are to start finding really great partners and not just ones that look great at a party.

if it's the face the problem and they want someone that has a good looking face, especially if they wouldn't want someone average or the same level as them, yes 100%

if the problem is that they're fat and want a skinny person, also yes especially if they're like no fat people or something

now if they want someone who's x height, clean, with x boob size, etc it's fine, if they are in the sameish league
